| | 3. Energy efficiency Almost half of the UK's carbon dioxide emissions come from energy we use every day – at home and when we travel. By taking steps to reduce our energy consumption, and encouraging our guests to do the same, we can all help prevent climate change. 4. Recycling and Resource Use By recycling your waste you are reducing the amount that ends up in landfill, where biodegradable waste generates methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. By recycling you are also reducing the energy consumed in making new products, which are later disposed of – another factor which contributes towards climate change. We activley encourage you to recycle your waste. |
| | | 5. Training and Support We are taking steps to operate our self catering holiday cottage in a more sustainable manner but we need your support, to help us improve our performance. |
